As we sit and wait

Right now we are waiting. We have finished the biopsy and we are waiting until Friday for results. This week is dragging on. In the midst of this storm I am comforted by God’s word. I feel blessed to know I have an amazing heavenly father and friends and family surrounding us and flooding us with love. My emotions feel like a roller coaster as I am trying to wrap my mind around this whole thing. I am trying my best to keep it together as I dig into the Internet researching doctors and treatments of lymphoma. As I’m waiting I am setting us up with other doctors for second and third opinions. I want to make sure we can get Chase to the best doctors while still keeping him comfortable and not stressing him out. It is a lot to take in all at once but we are plugging away one day at a time. Lord help Friday to get here peacefully.
Below are some verses that I felt I needed right now in my life. I am going to start declaring these out loud at least once a day and holding on to God’s word. It is so hard not to want to blame someone or something for this but I know in my heart this is NOT God!

In the same way; the Spirit helps us in our weakness. We do not know what we ought to pray for, but the Spirit himself intercedes for us with groans that words cannot express. And He who searches our hearts knows the mind of the spirit, because the Spirit intercedes for the saints in accordance with God’s will.
Romans 8:26-27

Confess your sins to each other and pray for each other so that you may be healed. The prayer of a righteous man is powerful and effective.
James 5:16

The name of the Lord is a strong tower; the righteous run to it and are safe.
Proverbs 18:10

Trust in the lord and do good; dwell in the land and enjoy safe pasture. Delight yourself in the Lord and he will give you the desires of your heart.
Psalm 37:3-4

Now faith is being sure of what we hope for and certain of what we do not see. Without faith it is impossible to please God, because anyone who comes to Him must believe that He exists and that he rewards those who earnestly seek him.
Hebrews 11:1,6

So if you think you are standing firm, be careful that you don’t fall! No temptation has seized you except what is common to man. And God is faithful; He will not let you be tempted beyond what you can bear. But when you are tempted, He will also provide a way out so that you can stand up under it.
1 Corinthians 10:12-14

“Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. DO NOT be terrified; DO NOT be discouraged, for the Lord your God will be with you wherever you go.”
Joshua 1:9

Finally, be strong in the Lord and in His mighty power. Put on the full armor of God, so that you can take your stand against the devil’s schemes. For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil and heavenly realms.
Ephesians 6:10-12

“Fear not, for I have redeemed you; I have summoned you by name; you are MINE. When you pass through the waters, I WILL BE WITH YOU; and when you pass through the rivers, they WILL NOT sweep you over. When you walk through the fire, you will not be burned; the flames will not set you ablaze.”
Isaiah 43:1-2

I lift up my eyes to the hills – where does my help come from? My help comes from the Lord, the maker of heaven and earth.
Psalms 121:1-2

Consider it pure joy, my brothers, whenever you face trials of many kinds, because you know that the testing of your faith develops perseverance. Perseverance must finish its work so that you may be mature and complete, not lacking anything.
James 1:2-4

“And I will do whatever you ask in my name, so that the son may bring glory to the father. You may ask me for anything in my name, and I will do it.”
John 14:13-14

The Lord is righteous in all his ways and loving toward all he has made. The Lord is near to all He has made. The Lord is near to all who call on him in truth.
Psalm 145:17-18

So I say to you: ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you. For everyone who asks receives; he who seeks finds; and to him who knocks, the door will be opened.”
Luke 11:9-10

For the eyes of the Lord range throughout the earth to strengthen those whose hearts are fully committed to him.
2 Chronicles 16:9

Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petitions, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.
Philippians 4:6-7

If you confess with your mouth, “Jesus is Lord,” and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For it is with your heart that you believe you are justified, and it is with your mouth that you confess and are saved.
Romans 10:9-10

Jesus said, “What is impossible with men is possible with God.”
Luke 18:27

Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge Him, and He will make your paths straight.

This I call to mind and therefore I have hope: Because of the Lord’s great love we are not consumed, for His compassions never fail. They are new every morning; great is Your faithfulness.

You are worthy; our Lord and God, to receive glory and honor and power, for You created all things, and by your will they were created and have their being.
Revelation 4:11

Jesus answered, “I am the way the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me.”
John 14:6

The weapons we fight with are not the weapons of the world. On the contrary, they have divine power to demolish strongholds. We demolish arguments and every pretension that sets itself up against the knowledge of God, and we take captive every thought to make it obedient to Christ.

2 Corinthians 10:4-5
